In modern society we tend to get stuck in set ways, blocking our ability to forward-think and create, so the first phase is to recognise and challenge our blocks and bias, and then we can start to build up our forward-thinking skills, adapt to change, and self-optimise better.
Why do we need to adapt?!
We are hard-wired to act in specific ways to survive, to fit in, but modern society can become so comfort-led today, dictated through consumerism, social media, false expectations, fear-mongering etc. that we can become too blinded or afraid to challenge ourselves to look outside that comfort zone. The result is lost potential as we aren't really awake towards life, rather our surroundings control us and our ego misguides us, keeping us in a perpetual state of denial. We may even become attached to the idea that obtaining more will lead to freedom, but in reality this just makes us more distracted (and even more dictated) by the surrounding noise or influence.
When we are aware of the blocks in ourselves and to human progress (that hold us back) we can begin to change them, we can learn to adapt.
What benefits does learning to adapt bring?!
- Build self-awareness and recognise modern societal challenges and changing times around us today and tomorrow, from comfort consumerism, social media addiction, climate change etc.
- Embrace change and flexibility in work and life more.
- Advance and think clearer moving forward in the human development process, waking up from blocks, biases, distractions, influences, conventions, and habitual routines we may not have seen in ourselves beforehand, creating an anti-fragility mindset.
- Build a problem-solvers mindset with a new forward-thinking toolkit to see the issues around us with a willingness to develop solutions towards human sustainability.
- Challenge our 'comfort zone' (by eating the frog), with actionables to help us adapt, grow, and move outwardly - bringing new chapters in life, and making your own job, starting afresh etc. easier.
- Embrace thinking differently to those around you (great minds do think differently), leading to a 'rethink' of your own vision and goals.

With a more forward-thinking mind we can now channel it to work out what our vision is, regenerate ourselves, and look at possible future trends, scenarios, and innovations, and then match our vision to more impact-creating jobs, startups, solutions, and life.
Why do we need to envision?!
We live in the most highly-developed times of humanity, but with all this technology and innovation around us making life in some ways more enriched and comfortable, it can be easy to miss the underlying and potentially damaging effects this high-tech world can have on our brains and relationships with each other. We no longer just need to innovate, we need to be able to have future-led minds that aren't societally conditioned to automatically seek comfort or gratification in the now, as otherwise our innovations will only lead to more complex psychosocial human issues down the line.
It's also in our best interest as humans to bring about our unique skills and visions, so we can bring forward the best versions of ourselves, and not become 'numbers in a machine' that wasted their potential, and to instead become visionaries who can create a difference by having the mindset able to do so.
What benefits does learning to envision bring?!
- Have a purpose in life beyond seeking comfort gratifications. Many people seek to climb societal ladders only to get older and wonder why so much time and energy was spent on doing so, or what else life could've brought.
- Develop a forward-thinking, visionary mindset that will help you see the best in life moving forward, and help you align to your desired vision and legacy better, or make a complete change in direction.
- Utilise forward-thinking skills and bring forward (or be inspired by) ideas and iterative innovative solutions to current (& potential) issues and outdated systems in a fast-changing and dynamic world, that could change and shape a more humanity-driven future world.
- Help review and highlight the latest innovative products/apps/services etc., so we can see which ones are successfully addressing (or hindering) modern and future issues, and also lead a change in consumer habits by forcing brands to develop better human-led products and services (as it's only us who can change our consumer habits and what companies end up developing) .
- Give something back as you become more involved in social innovation projects that create positive impact.
- Become an ethical forward-thinking entrepreneur with healthier-minded and impact-creating startup ideas, future jobs, and solutions from future needs.
- Be able to see (needed) future trends easier and help you be ahead of the curve (and invest wiser).
